Snow at Giverny, 1892 by Claude Monet
It has certainly been a cold and snowy winter, no? Sometimes this season can be a real downer for those who love painting nature and landscapes. Thick blankets of snow can seem a little one-dimensional… grab a white sheet of paper and you’re pretty much done, right? Actually, there’s a lot more to discover in snowy landscapes!

Before you go dropping them all in the recycling bin, why not try turning them into a lovely spring craft?

Glow-in-the-dark paint, Glow-in-the-dark mason jars
Did you ever catch fireflies in a jar during warm summer nights? The beautiful glowing dots in the dark are a childhood staple of summertime. Here's a project that's very simple and a bit more humane than actually capturing lightning bugs!

This fun video showcases how wonderful paint is… just on its own! No need to compose a picture or mix colors or use fancy brushes. These guys just pour it out and see what happens! And if you ask me, it’s beautiful.
