Champagne Chairs

Ah, 2013… here we are! The year ahead is a beautiful blank slate to fill with goals, accomplishments, fun, and creativity. It’s a chance to leave all the baggage of 2012 behind and embrace a lovely fresh start.

Some extra weight that still might be left over from 2012? Empty champagne bottles (especially if you’re like me and haven’t taken your recycling out yet).

Before you go throwing out the remnants of your revelry, take a look at this fun little craft to make tiny charming chairs! Just grab the cap, foil, and wire of the champagne bottle and a pair of pliers. Use the pliers to twist the wire into legs and a back in any design you’d like. These cuties seem intricate and impressive, but are a breeze to twist together.

They look like miniatures right out of a Parisian café, no? And the more festive the bottle cap, the more adorable the seat cushion. These funky little chairs would make the perfect addition to any dollhouse or you could get a head start on next year and add a little string to turn them into darling ornaments! Or hey, just display them as they are(you could even use the cork as a mini table)! Here’s to a happy new year! Bonne année!
