Lookin’ Sharp

Sometimes you may feel like getting crafty without making a big mess or time commitment. That’s okay! Not every art project needs to be full-scale production. Try this creative craft that is simple, quick, and inexpensive!

All you need is a plain porcelain mug or dish (from a dollar store is fine!) and a Sharpie marker (any color). No, seriously… that’s it. Just draw whatever you want on the surface of the mug and then bake it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350°F.

Quick tip: Don’t run these in the dishwasher. They’re certainly durable enough for hand washing, but the dishwasher will pull the ink off. If you do put them in the dishwasher, it’s not a disaster. You can always just redraw your designs.

These make great party favors and gifts, as well as even personalized dinnerware. And hey, guess what… no cleanup!
