One in a Villamil-lion
Talk about budding creativity! Letting your imagination blossom… artistic ingenuity in full bloom… I could go on punning all day, but I digress.
In her Ina Installation, New York based artist Grace Villamil breathes new life into barren white rooms with a bit of floral magic.
While she’s an accomplished artist in many mediums, Villamil’s site-specific flower installation showcases her knack for taking something simple and making it visually impactful. With a few modest supplies, an ordinary space, and a bit of creativity, something beautiful and unexpected can take form.
And it makes me want to hang flowers from my own ceiling! Want to recreate Villamil’s work in your home, too? Just pick up some artificial flowers at a craft or specialty store (or create your own paper flowers) and give it a go! Be sure to share your creations with us here or on Facebook.
Flowers are a simple way to add a burst of color and a nod to nature in the home. What are your go-to design tactics when you need to liven up a room?
