Painted Leaves

Can you believe it’s November already? And that it gets dark at 5:00pm now? Savor the last days before winter by utilizing some lovely autumn leaves. With just a little paint, you’ll suddenly have a unique collection that preserves the leaves’ natural beauty while adding a personal twist.

The only main supplies you’ll need are leaves, paint, and paintbrushes. Grab a coat and head outside on an expedition to gather your leaves.  Look for different shapes and sizes to add variety.

Once you have your leaves selected, start painting! You can create fun patterns, complete pictures (like animals or landscapes), or even just paint solid colors. Feel free to explore black and white details with permanent markers or whiteout pens.

There are a few different ways you can display your finished leaves. Try gluing them to a canvas or thick sheet of paper and hanging it up. Or get some twine or string and create a cheerful garland. You can also leave them loose and place them around your table for festive and seasonal décor (Thanksgiving is coming up soon).
